Getting into the flow

Good eveninggg. It’s raining again today and I plan on watching the first Charlie’s Angels movie later (a guilty pleasure of mine) because I ended up not indulging in it last night.

I’m kind of sad actually because I made a bowl of popcorn but then my niece started being a pain in the ass about wanting popcorn so I gave it to her to save my dad the trouble. Now her and her friend are eating it and I’m jealous… oh well, guess there cannot be one popcorn to rule them all.

I was halfway through my breakfast before I remembered to take a picture. Whoops!

I wasn’t as hungry as I usually am in the mornings so I kept it light. The bowl consisted of:

  • 6 cut up strawberries
  • 1/2 a peach
  • 1/4 cup of Honey Nut Chex (the REAL kind that are legit gluten free. Damn right)
  • 1/2 cup Multigrain Cheerios
  • 1/4 cup milk

Nice and refreshing!

After my workout, which I’m saving to talk about until the end of the post, I showered and was left with only about ten minutes to eat something because my dad was coming to get me!

Again, halfway through before I remembered I was a food blogger. Derrrr. Piece of rye bread with PB and half a banana. Give me muh potassium and protein pleaseeeee.

What’s up Doc?

Let’s get to my workout! After messing around with the blog for a bit (procrastination!) I decided that since it was raining I would do YOGA. I don’t know what it is but I keep wanting to do it despite my setbacks; I apparently have a lot of faith in our relationship. I gave Exercise TV the once over and settled on a 45 minute level 1 Vinyasa Flow session. To describe my feelings I have THIS to say:

I.AM.IN.LOVE. And what better way to express that than with a heart made from M & M’s?!?!

Never in my dreams did I think that I would have loved doing yoga so much. It always seemed difficult for me to grasp the concept of yoga being “calming” but after today’s session, I’ve realized that it IS possible! Maybe my flexibility and strength are getting somewhat better but whatever it was, I enjoyed the session SO much I can’t even say. The instructor (aside from being adorable!) really emphasized on the importance of proper breathing and because of the breathing awareness, everything just flowed so much better. I’m so excited to go back to Rider and try out an actual yoga CLASS!  It would appear that someone may or may not have caught the yoga buggy………

(Is it just me or are there more pictures of MYSELF on this blog than anything else? I remember this one time I hated pictures of my body……self-obsessed much?)

Today’s theme has been centered around keeping relaxed and I’m off to go add to such a theme…. by eating some chili and cooking up some zucchini . Don’t ask questions, just go with it and wait for pictures 😉
