Somebody may or may not have graduated from college yesterday.

It may or may not have been me…

My college career is over and now I honestly have no idea where my life is going now. What I do know? This blogger girl is back, baby, and ready to take the blogworld by storm.

This post is a “WELCOME BACK ME!” kind of deal and I’m going to throw up another post after this one with what will basically be a summary of my second semester at Rider.

They’ll let anyone graduate from college nowadays, I swear.

Can I just say that I am SO in love with the comments? It’s definitely getting repetitious but I can’t help it. LOVELOVELOVELOVE.


Back to business.

Rider has become quite the snow wonderland since I’ve been back. Classes yesterday were canceled AND classes today were canceled. Granted, I don’t mind but this is quite the ironic situation because this exact thing happened two years ago. Rider history likes to repeat itself.

Check out how beautiful my campus looks though!

You can be jealous. It’s cool 😉

Snow days noms.

Reused coffee cup with the following:

  • Half a banana
  • 2 tsp AB
  • 1/4 cup chocolate Chex
  • 1/2 cup plain Chobani
  • 1 tbsp Special K granola

I love the part when I get to go to town and mash everything together. Roomie commented that I was going a little overboard… sorry, I just have a lot of feelings.

Mean Girls reference. For.The.Win.

LUNCH!

A pile of baby carrots (nice and mushy!), sliced tomatoes, hummus, a hidden veggie burger and sauteed peppers. It’s lacking the green, I’m not digging that!

So yes, Dalys food has become my source of nourishment once again. Let me show you!

The dining hall is a tricky mistress but if you try hard enough good food CAN be obtained. The more colors your dish has, chances are the nutritional value will be higher. I also try to go for staples in the protein/dairy/carb departments. Grilled chicken, veggie burgers, whole wheat bread, feta cheese and lots of hummus!

Another tip is to take the time to look around and see what the place has to offer. For instance, Dalys has two salad bars that are always stocked with quinoa! Instant positive protein choice right there. I think the idea of trying is what discourages people but it’s definitely worth it. I have the utmost faith in everyone! 😀

To be honest though, room breakfasts are not the same without my oats.

It’s still pretty but I miss oatmeal desperately. In the bowl:

  • Cut up apple microwaved with cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup plain Chobani
  • 1/2 cup crushed up Quaker Oats Squares (FINALLY finished the box!)
  • 1 tbsp granola
  • 1 tbsp honey peanut butter

You’ll do breakfast, you’ll do. Well, at least for now.

Oh look, it’s time for me to go dinner! Funny how that works out. My next post is going to include my ramblings about my FOOD WRITING class! So until then…. enjoy the rest of the day everyone!
